Is the beach nearby, and what about seaweed?
La Valise Tulum is directly on the beachfront with a private beach area, so the sea is a short walk from the jungle side. Sargassum can build up on the beach, mostly from around April or May through October. When it does, guests are invited to use the jungle-side pool. The late November to April window is usually the driest and clearest.
How do I get to La Valise Tulum, and what are check-in and check-out times?
The hotel is on the Tulum–Boca Paila road at Km 8.7, about 90 minutes by car from Cancún airport via Highway 307. It is roughly 30 miles from Tulum International Airport. Private transfers can be arranged through the concierge. Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM, and late check-out can be requested subject to availability.
